On Thursday, we sent our letter to the Planning Inspectorate.

The Planning Inspector will be reading everyone's original submission but if you would like to make further personal comments in response to the Appeal in the form of a written representation please do so using this link: https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk using reference: APP/E2205/W/24/3353598. or write to the Planning Inspectorate - see the address below.

You should not need to create an account or register but use the box on the right-hand side of the page saying 'search for a case' and just type in the last numbers 3353598 - this should bring you to a page saying 'make written representation' at the top right-hand corner. Click this and follow the instructions. You will be able to upload your previous letters if you want to, but please make sure you use the reference number above. It would also be helpful if you could include a short sentence confirming your original objection and endorsing the SOWLIS Appeal submission. An example could be:

Re APP/E2205/W/24/3353598
' I confirm my original objection to the planning application re PA/2022/2415 for a solar farm at North Court Fruit Farm, Old Wives Lees, Kent made to Ashford Borough Council and endorse the recent written representation submitted by SOWLIS - Save Old Wives Lees from Industrial Solar'

If you haven't received the written response from SOWLIS this week, please get in touch with us and we can provide you with a copy.

Thank you for your support!

If you previously made a representation regarding the original application, you will have received an email from Ashford Borough Council (ABC) on Tuesday stating the procedure to follow regarding the Appeal against the decision by ABC to refuse planning back in April. We are currently drafting a written representation on behalf of SOWLIS and will let you know once we have completed this. We will be sending it to the Planning Inspectorate before 8 January 2025, and also posting it here for you to read.

It would also be helpful if you could include a short sentence confirming your original objection and endorsing the SOWLIS Appeal submission once we have published it. An example could be:

Please do this after Christmas and once we have written our letter - we'll let you know once we have! Hope this makes sense and we'll send out more information later. The more eyes that look at the appeal documents the better and if anyone spots anything new please do let us know!

Updated: Dec 15, 2024

The appeal documents for North Court Solar Farm were published on Ashford Borough Council (ABC)'s planning portal yesterday: AP-90713

The clock has started ticking!

ABC will notify any person who was notified or consulted and those who made representations to the application will be notified that an appeal has been made. They must do this by 11 December.

Interested party comments need to be submitted by 8 January 2025! Yet another Christmas ruined - 3rd in a row!

The Planning Inspector should do a site visit at some stage.

We are working hard going through the submitted appeal documents and if anyone can lend us their time that would be most helpful! Please let me know ASAP!

When we hear anything more or can give you further advice we will let you know.
