Who are SOWLIS?

We are a Community Group of volunteers that came together to form SOWLIS – Save Old Wives Lees from Industrial Solar, following a public meeting in September 2021.
Organising Ourselves
A committee was formed and we have been working hard over this last year on getting to grips with understanding the complex planning laws, policies and systems in our country as well as researching into the solar industry.
We have a Constitution and hold regular meetings of the committee which are formally minuted by the secretary.
We have also set up a Community Bank Account with Barclays and have a PayPal account for donations to pay for the services of specialist experts to review specific areas of the planning application PA/2022/2415, for example: the Landscape and Visual Impact of the proposed development and the Ecological and Biodiversity Assessment
